Hello Friends of Sydney’s Green Garden (SGG)
The growing season has begun – you can plant your cool weather crops such as lettuces, peas, cilantro, and spinach now. On that note, spinach and lettuces are up, and potatoes are poking through in the research garden containers. June 4-10 you can plant your other seeds.
We are currently testing the durability of the Pocket Hoses ™ you have probably heard about. We’ve noticed it takes a while for the water to drain out after we use it – the manufacturer recommends draining after each use to increase hose longevity. Check back for updates.
SGG container gardening products and seeds are available online at this website, as well as at these local stores: The Bookstore at Fitger’s and Mount Royal Shopping Center in Duluth, and at Engwall’s Florist and Greenhouse in Hermantown.
