Plant seeds after the last frost date for your area.  Fill the 13 inch round container with soil to 1 inch below the rim.  Divide the container into 4 quadrants.  Plant 2 seeds about 3 inches apart in the middle of each quadrant for a total of 8 seeds.  Plant each seed one inch deep. Cover with soil.  Remove one smaller plant from each quadrant once the seedlings are about 2 to 3 inches high.  You will end up with 4 strong plants in the container.

Harvest pickling cucumbers when they are about 4 inches in length, and slicing cucumbers when they are 8 inches in length.  Harvest often and you will get more cucumbers.

You don’t have to plant cucumbers in hills as in a conventional garden.  The soil drains very well and the container is your ‘hill.’
