Education is important and it can start at an early age. Each year we take time to teach kids the great joy and benefit of growing their own vegetables. We visit 3rd grade classes in the spring and give containers, soil and seeds to the kids and show them how to start their own garden one vegetable at a time. It is free to join Sydney’s Green Garden. Kids can post their questions and we will answer them. They will also be able to communicate with one another about their garden. In this way we can change the next generation’s attitude of growing their own food and buying locally.
We also offer free container growing workshops for adults. They do not need to purchase our kit. We want everyone to learn how to be self sustainable. This benefits the community and the environment.
